Floral Inspiration in Summer

Sun Ae’s adventures in Stoke-on-Trent in SUNNY Summer

Our residency theme this time with a writer Holly Corfield-Carr and a sculptor David Booth is ‘ Flower-Making’

Looking at traditional flower making process and story in Stoke-on-Trent, we have been exploring various ways of interpreting in contemporary text. It is exciting and unique experience working as a team and also individual.

I have used the Spode Factory’s original bowl mould for the Jigger and Jolly machine and used for press-moulding. We had a really intensive but fun week last week and everything is in the kiln at the moment. Fingers crossed everyone! x

This is Holly’s flowers in the historical Wedgwood Institute. Please check out how she has  explored the concept recently in her blog.
